Wife of the CNS urges Nigerians to remember the less privileged

The President of the Naval Officers’ Wives Association (NOWA) and wife of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Mrs. Theresa Ibas has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to remember the needy and the less privileged in our society by catering for their well-being. Mrs.Ibas made this call when she donated the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000) to the Ark of Refuge Orphanage in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory over the weekend. The NOWA President, who made the donation under the Divine Mercy Foundation, which she is the founder, pointed out that nothing is too big or small to donate to the less privileged to make their lives more meaningful. She promised to send more items to the Orphanage at a later date.

While thanking the CNS’ wife, the Coordinator of the Ark of Refuge Orphanage, Mrs. Evelyn Ajuyah thanked Mrs. Ibas immensely, saying that the money would go a long way in making the Orphanage have a memorable Christmas and New Year celebration. She appealed to wealthy Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture of Mrs. Ibas by touching the lives of the needy. Pastor Tunde Adebayo of the World Overcomers Church Kubwa who accompanied Mrs. Ibas to the Orphanage, prayed for long life, divine protection and prosperity for Mrs. Theresa Ibas and her husband, Vice Admiral Ibok- Ete Ibas.

Mrs Theresa Ibas had earlier visited the Mercy Orphanage Home, Suleja, Niger State under her pet project, Divine Mercy Foundation, a Non Governmental Organization, where she donated various items including drinks, water, beverages, clothings and a sum of money; which was well appreciated by the head of the home, Reverend (Father) Ignatius Makoji.
